Show-Me Neighbors connects older adults in Missouri with friendly, checked local helpers we call Neighbors. This page explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be easy to read.
What we collect
- When you join our list or take our quiz: your name, email, phone number, ZIP code, who the help is for and what kind of help you are looking for.
- When you apply to be a Neighbor: your name, contact details, ZIP code, when you are free, whether you drive, and what you tell us about yourself.
- Basic website information: like most websites, our host may keep standard logs such as the type of browser and the pages visited. We do not use advertising trackers on this site.
How we use it
- To let you know when we open in your area and to answer your questions.
- To review Neighbor applications and set up interviews.
- To improve our service and decide where to open next.
We never sell your information. We do not share it with other companies for their marketing.
Who can see it
Only our small team and the trusted services we use to run the business, such as the secure spreadsheet that stores sign-ups and our website host. If you later apply to be a Neighbor, a background check company will run checks only after you give your written consent. We may share information if the law requires it or to protect someone's safety.
Texts, emails and calls
When you send us your phone number or email, you agree we may contact you about Show-Me Neighbors. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts, or use the unsubscribe link in any email. We never send marketing texts late at night.
Keeping it safe
We use secure, password-protected services and limit who on our team can see your information. No system is perfect, so we only ask for what we need.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time. Email hello@showmeneighbors.com and we will take care of it.
Children
Our website is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
